Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Iraq Borsa (“the App”) is a mobile application that displays city exchange rates, related market information (including foreign-exchange and gold reference prices), and optional office/account features for users in Iraq. The App is informational only. It is not a licensed broker, bank, or money-exchange operator, and it does not execute trades or hold funds for users.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following:

• Account information. Name, phone number, and email address. You may create an account with email and password (Firebase Authentication) or sign in with Google Sign-In (email and profile name provided by Google).
• User profile (Firestore). Profile fields stored with your account, such as display name, phone, email, city preferences, VIP / activation status, and notification preferences (which cities should trigger price alerts).
• Optional office profile. If you use office features, you may provide office name, hours, city, a maps URL (link you enter; the App does not access device GPS), and staff names/phone numbers you choose to save.
• Device session identifier. A locally generated device ID used to enforce a single active device session per account (stored with your user record as an active-device marker).
• App usage needed for service. Authentication state, activation / VIP request status, and settings you configure in the App.

We do not request access to your camera, photo library, or device GPS/location services for core App features. Maps links are URLs you optionally enter yourself.

3. How we use information

• Create and manage your account and sign-in (including Google Sign-In).
• Show city rates and related market information you request in the App.
• Store and sync your profile, VIP/activation status, and notification preferences.
• Send local notifications on your device when buy/sell rates change for cities you have enabled (notifications are generated on-device from rate updates; they are not marketing push campaigns from a third-party ad network).
• Limit concurrent sessions to one active device for account security.
• Support optional office profile display and contact features you configure.
• Respond to support, activation, or data/account deletion requests.

4. City rates and market data

City buy/sell rates and related app content are provided for information. Live FX reference rates may be fetched from open.er-api.com. Gold (PAXG) reference pricing may be obtained from Binance public market data APIs. These third-party feeds are used only to display approximate market information inside the App.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third parties to operate the App:

• Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and related hosting/infrastructure.
• Google Sign-In — optional account sign-in.
• open.er-api.com — foreign-exchange reference rates.
• Binance — PAXG/USDT public ticker data for gold reference pricing.

Those providers process data according to their own privacy policies and terms. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data storage and retention

Account and profile data are stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) associated with the Iraq Borsa Firebase project. We retain this information while your account remains active. If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify account data we control, subject to any short-term backups or legal obligations. Local notification preferences and the device ID may also be stored on your device.

7. Security

We use industry-standard provider features (Firebase Authentication, encrypted transit to Google services, and single-device session checks) to help protect accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please keep your sign-in credentials confidential.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your choices and rights

• Update profile or office information inside the App where those screens are available.
• Control which cities trigger local price-change notifications in App settings.
• Sign out or stop using the App at any time.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by contacting us (see below). Deletion may require verifying account ownership (for example via the email or phone associated with the account).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when material changes are posted at this URL. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
